We will spend the week outdoors having fun! What does this look like? Throughout the week participants will have the opportunity to practice fundamental kayak, canoe, and SUP skills through theory, on-shore instruction, in-water instruction, games, activities and trips down the Tay River. Participants will also have instruction in mini golf putting, ettiquete and strategies, as well as a mini golf tournament. Other activities include outdoor ping-pong, badminton, speedminton, croquet, soccer, capture the flag and other team building games. Each day is spent outside with approximately 3 hours on the water; camp runs rain or shine. Should a thunderstorm roll our way, we will weather it in the newly built summer camp shelter playing games and crafts. On hot days we cool off by paddling under the fountains in the Tay Basin, swimming, jumping off of the paddle boards, and water games. ...and past campers would be quick to point out that we forgot to mention the pedal go-karts and the kick-bikes!!!!

Perth Outfitters' Summer Camp is fun and adventurous, but most of all it is safe! All participants are required to wear Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) when near the water and during all water activities (including swimming). Camp rules are posted visually and reviewed daily. Participants are expected to follow the rules and counsellors’ instructions closely. Since we will spend our days outside, campers are encouraged to drink plenty of water, wear UV protective clothing and bring sunscreen to apply throughout the day.

At Perth Outfitters we think kids should “have a blast”, and what better way to have fun than spending summer days outdoors, on the water, and playing games with friends? Since opening in 2012, it has been our goal to make a difference and help foster healthy, active lifestyles. In 2016 we created an adventurous outdoor summer camp to provide opportunities for the children in our community. In addition to providing safe and reliable care, our camp helps children learn respect for water and boating safety; develop fundamental skills in recreational canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddle boarding (SUP); build upon confidence, interpersonal skills, strength, balance, and endurance. Perth Outfitters Summer Camp is THE place to grow and have fun in the summer!
